Mr. Dade’s LiftMaster garage door just wasn’t working right, and he couldn’t figure out what the problem was.
We sent out one of our garage door opener technicians to Mr. Dade’s house to help him pinpoint the problem. We took a look at the power supply and remote controls, as we always do, before moving on to a hardware check. The issue became obvious, with the drive gear being worn down to the point where it couldn’t work properly. It reduced the power of the opener, making it impossible to raise the door properly, so we swapped it out. With a new drive gear installed and lubricated, Mr. Dade’s LiftMaster opener worked perfectly once again.
